CHOCOLATE!!!!!! I don't have it often, but when I do, I make sure that every bit of it that I taste is worth it. And just like my love for local beauty brands, I decided to have a try some locally made chocolate. Now granted, I've had a few (okay maybe more than a few) amazing pieces of local chocolate before. I clearly was not ready for the awesomeness that is Sparkling Gold Chocolates.
How beautiful are these lovely pieces? They were almost too pretty to eat... almost. this package came with a combination of the following:
- Tobago Love: A coconut ganache and bene ball pralines
- Dark Passion: A passion fruit and dark chocolate ganache
- Coconut: A coconut ganache encased in 70% dark
- Orange Coffee: Local coffee (from Country Style Coffee) and orange infused in a caramel filling
Tobago Love tastes pretty much like if a bene ball and chocolate got drunk one night, had passionate sex and had themselves a love child. If you're a bene ball lover, you'll definitely enjoy in this.
Dark Passion is the perfect name for this chocolate. The passion fruit filling blends so perfectly with the ganache and it feels so silky when it melts in your mouth. I think that this may be favourite of the lot because I love the combination of fruity flavours and dark chocolate.
Coconut surprised me. Mainly because I am not a fan of coconut on a whole (except coconut water and jelly that is). That coconut ganache filling is one of those that leaves you wanting more. And oh my goodness was it smoothhhh. Yes please!!
Orange Coffee is a vibe. While I'm not much of coffee lover (outside of the random dalgona), the orange and coffee blend beautifully. I also found the decorative touch on this one so pretty that really made it stand out against the other pieces. I could easily eat a whole tray of this on my own.
Overall, these chocolates are legit!! And each bite is so delicious and so unique. You can tell that Sparkle (the beautiful woman with dark chocolate skin), takes pride in what she does and ensures that every single thing she makes looks just as beautiful on the outside and is tantalising to the tongue on the inside. Here goodies are absolutely Nelly B approved, so if you're ever looking something to nibble on that makes you feel a tad bougie, then this is it.
As a matter of fact, I love these chocolates so much, that I have something really special happening on my Instagram, so you'll want to check that out too.
Now tell me, which one of these would you want to try?
Regards,
Tshenelle aka Nelly B.
